In regards to our “in-training” animals, this solely means they aren’t confident to stand completely still for a long period of time. Evening & weekend celebrations are a minimum of one hour. We find our timing at celebrations to work best at 30 minutes for every 50 people in attendance, capping our appearance at 2 hours. What does a llama/alpaca do at a party?! They give hugs! And carrot kisses! And are all-around party enhancers. Though not every special event offers an environment that is ideal for helping train our up-and-coming therapy animals, many of the smaller, intimate parties we attend offer such an environment and we can offer reduced pricing as a thank-you for your flexibility in hosting one of our in-training animals.
Best yet: you’re either helping our farm continue to volunteer time and energy into sharing our llamas and alpacas for therapy and education, OR your helping financially and inviting a therapy llama/alpaca in training to help socialize them to be the next generation of therapy animals for our farm.
